Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• AWS Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available AWS infrastructure to support a range of applications and services, ensuring alignment with best practices.
• Automation: Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning, deployment, monitoring, and management of AWS resources.
• Security and Compliance: Enforce and implement security best practices and compliance measures, including identity and access management, data protection, encryption, and vulnerability scanning.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor, analyze, and actively implement improvements to system performance, ensuring reliability and operational efficiency across all deployed infrastructure.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Develop, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate and streamline the deployment process, enabling rapid and stable delivery of software and infrastructure updates.
• Collaboration: Work closely with development, data, and operations teams to gather requirements, implement solutions, troubleshoot issues, and support full lifecycle deployment of AI and analytics workloads.
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive, implementation-focused documentation for system architecture, deployment processes, workflows, and configuration standards to support operational transparency and onboarding.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an AWS Platform Engineer or in a similar role, with a strong background in implementing and managing cloud infrastructure and services in production environments.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, IAM, VPC, and others, supported by relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Practical experience implementing and managing containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, with an understanding of microservices architecture and orchestration.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and support DevOps practices and tooling, including CI/CD systems and monitoring platforms such as Jenkins, Git, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of translating design into implementation in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• A commitment to continuous learning and hands-on adoption of emerging technologies, tools, and best practices within the cloud computing and infrastructure domain.
