Platform Engineer

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage UDS environments across AWS EKS, Azure AKS, and on-prem clusters
• Create custom UDS packages and application-specific modules using Terraform or OpenTofu
• Serve as the primary technical interface for customers, including onboarding and training
• Troubleshoot complex UDS issues and provide on-call support to meet SLA commitments
• Gather customer feedback to drive product and engineering improvements
• Analyze operational data to optimize delivery strategies and processes

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Platform Engineer or similar role
• Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures, networking, RBAC, and storage
• Hands-on experience with Azure AKS, AWS EKS, or on-prem Kubernetes (RKE2, K3s, OpenShift)
• Experience with Helm, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, OpenTofu)
• Knowledge of DevSecOps/DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or GitHub)
• Ability to travel up to 25% for on-site training and support
• U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications

• DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+)
• DoD Secret clearance or higher
