Platform Experience Engineer

Siena is the Agent of Record for consumer brands, providing a single intelligence layer that manages the entire customer journey. By collapsing disconnected tools into a single agent, Siena handles support, shopping, and social interactions with shared memory and context.

Responsibilities

• Own and solve hard production problems end-to-end, from tracing webhooks to debugging agent parameters.
• Diagnose whether issues stem from prompts, knowledge bases, configurations, or models.
• Build automation and runbooks to ensure recurring issues are eliminated permanently.
• Act as a structured, metrics-backed signal to the Product team to drive roadmap improvements.
• Communicate directly with customers to resolve issues and uncover root causes.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, React, and Express.
• Experience debugging LLM workflows, including prompts, retrieval, and intent classification.
• Ability to write diagnostic SQL against PostgreSQL and trace client-side JavaScript.
• Comfort using AI coding tools like Claude Code for scripting and codebase navigation.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on building leverage through automation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with observability tooling such as Grafana, Honeycomb, or Sentry.
• Background in Ecommerce or Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) industries.
• Experience building internal tools that automate manual processes.
