Platform Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and implement authentication and authorization for a large, graph-based database
• Build and evolve secure OAuth-based AuthN/AuthZ flows, including token handling and permission models
• Improve production security posture and audit data flows and privacy controls
• Act as a security and privacy gatekeeper in engineering reviews
• Maintain supply-chain security, including SAST, SCA, container scanning, and CI/CD hardening

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python
• Deep understanding of authentication and authorization (OAuth, JWTs, permission models)
• Experience designing and securing non-trivial data systems
• Proven track record of shipping real security improvements
• Ability to reason about risk, trade-offs, and real-world constraints

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j)
• Experience with CI/CD and supply-chain security tools
• Experience with Go or Rust
• Familiarity with React
