Presales Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design broadcast solutions ranging from single products like video switchers and camera chains to complex IP infrastructure and cloud-based software solutions.
• Liaise with customers, system integrators, and internal departments regarding designed solutions.
• Create and submit technical documentation, including drawings, solution descriptions, and proposal documentation.
• Coordinate with the GV Delivery department to ensure successful project implementation.
• Perform product demonstrations and visit client locations as required (approximately 40% travel).
• Rectify or escalate technical issues that may affect the integrity of designed solutions.

Requirements

• Sound knowledge of broadcast television principles.
• Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft server operating systems.
• Competence in using Linux operating systems.
• Strong understanding of Networking LAN/WAN principles.
• Excellent customer-facing and communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% at short notice.

Preferred Qualifications

• Arabic speaking skills.
• Experience with JavaScript and HTML.
• Knowledge of playout solutions and commonly used broadcast equipment (video/audio routers, VTRs, vision switchers).
• Previous experience working in TV production facilities, playout centers, or with system integrators.
