Job description

Responsibilities

  • Develop budgets, pricing models, and financial analyses to support client proposals and fee arrangements.
  • Analyze historical and current financial data to identify pricing trends and profitability insights.
  • Prepare and evaluate alternative fee arrangements and special rate structures in response to RFPs.
  • Partner with attorneys and internal stakeholders to provide fee estimates and value-based recommendations.
  • Support competitive and market analysis by gathering and interpreting relevant pricing data.
  • Document and promote pricing and profitability best practices to improve firm-wide consistency.
  • Collaborate with Legal Project Management, Finance, and Business Development teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience working with databases or other data analysis tools.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting pricing, profitability, or financial analysis within a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Familiarity with alternative fee arrangements (AFAs) and rate strategy.
