Principal AWS Cloud Security Consultant

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight for delivery teams to ensure quality and alignment with client objectives
• Manage and resolve client escalations and present findings to executive stakeholders
• Design secure cloud architectures and reference models for AWS and multi-cloud environments
• Conduct in-depth cloud security assessments to identify misconfigurations and compliance gaps
• Assist clients with continuous compliance, audit readiness, and security roadmaps
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to internal methodologies and assessment frameworks
• Support pre-sales activities including scoping, proposals, and statements of work

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years designing AWS architecture and operating workloads at scale
• Deep knowledge of AWS networking, data security, IAM, and cloud-native security tools
• Experience with IAM patterns (RBAC, ABAC), SCPs, and permission boundaries
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK)
• Experience with CIEM, CSPM, or CWPP tools
• Knowledge of securing Kubernetes environments (Amazon EKS)
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Experience with DevSecOps and CI/CD integration
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an internal IT/Security team member
• Knowledge of Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Cloud Control Matrix (CCM)
• Experience with threat modeling and mapping controls to NIST, CIS, or MITRE ATT&CK
• Certifications: CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty
