Principal Engineer - Wet Utilities

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical advisor for the team
• Undertake design and modeling works for potable water, firefighting, wastewater, storm water, and irrigation infrastructure projects
• Design large transmission lines
• Conduct stagnation/water age and quality studies for potable water transmission projects
• Perform modeling for all wet services using various software
• Validate modeling output with engineering calculations
• Ensure quality and timely delivery of infrastructure design works
• Conduct technical checks, reviews, progress reporting, and liaise with clients
• Deliver projects with full BIM implementation
• Coordinate project implementation per scope and contract conditions
• Adhere to health, safety, and quality measures in design
• Assist in coordination between the civil infrastructure team and other teams
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, provide design input to CAD Technicians
• Coordinate with authorities for design review and approvals
• Understand UAE and KSA design guidelines and authorities’ requirements
• Prepare technical reports and presentations
• Provide specialized technical input for studies and designs
• Develop procedures for high-quality, cost-effective work by others
• Participate in interdisciplinary project deliverable reviews
• Develop construction cost estimates and technical effort estimates
• Complete all steps for discipline components of PS&E package
• Perform quality control reviews
• Prepare technical specification sections
• Support development of engineering budgets and schedules

Requirements

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 12 years of experience
• At least 5 years of experience in UAE or GCC
• Ability to lead engineering teams on medium to large projects

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with UAE and KSA design guidelines
• Proficiency with various wet utilities modeling software
• Strong report writing and presentation skills
