Principal ICT Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects for clients across the GCC region.
• Plan, design, and engineer ICT and field communication infrastructure, focusing on cost-efficient and regulatory-compliant solutions.
• Design ICT civil infrastructure and site-wide connectivity for large-scale projects.
• Oversee implementation of Fiber Distribution, GPON, OSP, and ICT capacity planning.
• Integrate IT systems with data centers and control rooms.
• Manage multi-disciplinary project teams and project delivery.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop Smart Cities strategies and engineering solutions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE/GCC telecom, ICT, and security codes.
• Stay abreast of the latest ICT technologies and advancements.
• Prepare reports and maintain strong communication with clients and internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer system engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution.
• 12–15 years of experience in ICT infrastructure design and critical infrastructure engineering.
• Substantial civil ICT infrastructure design experience, including site-wide solutions.
• Proven project management experience in multidisciplinary ICT infrastructure and security projects.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE/GCC regulations and codes relating to telecom, ICT, and security.
• Strong English communication and report-writing skills.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, MS Project, SketchUp, Bluebeam Revu.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in PMP or CCNA, CCNP, BICSI RCDD, DCDC, or Uptime Accredited Tier Designer/Professional (highly preferred).
• Engineering design consultancy experience.
• Arabic language proficiency is a plus.
• Experience with Smart City strategies and data integration.
