Principal, Medical Economics

Responsibilities

• Lead and define statistical analyses to identify cost, utilization, and performance drivers
• Partner with data, actuarial, and analytics teams to validate healthcare claims data structures
• Apply economic insights to strengthen impact modeling and quantify financial implications
• Develop experimental designs for new program initiatives
• Translate complex claims, reimbursement, and utilization data into actionable recommendations
• Identify trends, anomalies, and emerging opportunities within performance data

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, public health, healthcare administration, data science, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, medical economics, or actuarial analytics
• Deep understanding of healthcare claims data, medical coding (ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, DRGs), and reimbursement models
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with Python, R, or other analytical tools preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment

• Advanced degree
• Experience with causal inference
