Principal Software Engineer – AI & Software Factory Engineering

Responsibilities

• Build agentic AI capabilities including tool orchestration and LLM application development
• Develop software that automates continuous Authority to Operate (cATO)
• Build secure-by-default CI/CD pipeline products with integrated security scanning
• Extend platforms with self-service capabilities and AI development tools
• Ship and support production on hardened Kubernetes in CUI/IL5 environments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years experience (or 12+ years hands-on)
• 5+ years in Software Engineering or DevOps/DevSecOps
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Kubernetes
• Proficiency in Python, Go, or similar
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline development (GitLab CI preferred)
• Containerization (Docker, Helm) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible)
• Experience with classified or air-gapped environments
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain Secret clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with agentic AI frameworks or LLM APIs
• Knowledge of Platform One, Big Bang, or Iron Bank
• Understanding of DoW security frameworks (NIST 800-53, RMF, cATO)
• Software supply chain security practices
• Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification
