Principal Software Engineer - Backend

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance and scalable backend systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and implement new features and enhancements
• Take end-to-end ownership of development
• Drive technical innovation and identify opportunities to improve systems and processes
• Work alongside a small, mission-driven team to build and polish web/mobile applications

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in backend development
• Proven experience designing and maintaining high-performance, scalable backend systems
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, Solid.js (Solid Start SSR), Postgres, AWS Serverless Architecture, Redshift, Redis, and Dynamo
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)

• Start-up experience
• Experience with social applications
