Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build systems that enable graduated availability of new code and content across dev, test, pre-prod, and prod environments
• Develop systems to enable reproducibility of outcomes, such as automated methods to detect changes from OS or cloud providers
• Create simple, easy-to-use frameworks for developers to write unit and integration tests
• Build systems that allow content developers to quickly write and deploy content using graduated availability and reproducibility systems

Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience
• Experience designing and shipping commercially available software products at scale
• Experience building and shipping self-service B2B SaaS products at scale
• Expert knowledge of at least one major systems programming language
• Ability to learn TypeScript or Rust
• Experience shipping serverless software on AWS or working with distributed systems
• Experience working at a fast-growing startup
• Proficiency with GitHub, AWS, GCP, Azure, Auth0, TypeScript, Angular, PrimeNG, Rust, GitHub Copilot, or Claude
• Ability to work remotely, asynchronously, and independently
