Principal Software Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a small team of development engineers as a player/coach
• Act as the internal technical expert on Skimmer's newest systems
• Drive the replatforming of existing features to be AI-first and interactive
• Utilize AI tools and best practices to maximize team productivity
• Partner with the integrations team to ensure a seamless customer experience

Requirements

• Experience in a technical leadership or player/coach role at a SaaS startup
• Proven expertise in replatforming and improving existing products
• Proficiency leveraging AI tools (preferably Claude) for development
• Experience leading development teams and participating in engineering leadership
• Expertise in Node.js, C#, and PostgreSQL or Microsoft SQL
• High emotional intelligence and experience leading cross-functional projects
