Job description

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate medication approvals through prior authorizations by communicating with insurance companies and clinician offices
  • Collaborate with patients and funding sources to obtain financial assistance for high-cost copays
  • Navigate pharmacy operating systems to input data, adjudicate claims, and process refills
  • Document patient concerns, prior authorization status, and financial assistance needs in electronic medical records
  • Support medication adherence and compliance through direct phone communication with patients
  • Maintain accurate records of patient communications and manage data within database systems

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • High school diploma or GED
  • State registration as a pharmacy technician (or agreement to obtain within 6 months)
  • National certification (PTCB or NHA) at time of hire or within 9 months of employment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong data entry and computer skills
