Responsibilities

• Lead high-complexity, high-stakes privacy projects from definition to delivery
• Evolve privacy triage and review processes
• Build automation to reduce engineering toil
• Grow and mentor the next generation of privacy engineers
• Contribute to company-wide privacy strategy
• Design technical solutions for private search index capabilities and agentic browsing products

Requirements

• 10+ years experience leading privacy reviews, audits, or technical privacy programs at a consumer-facing company with 1M+ users
• 4+ years of privacy engineering leadership experience
• Experience building infrastructure tools or data minimization systems
• Director, Head of, or VP-level management and hiring experience
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects with minimal direction
• Strong communication skills for translating privacy principles into engineering decisions
• Experience improving organizational processes and implementing automation
