Product Designer

Responsibilities

• Design expressive, visually compelling features for AI-powered news, discovery, personalization, and interest-feed experiences
• Create clear, engaging visual stories that communicate product ideas and design rationale to stakeholders
• Own end-to-end design for assigned features, from concept development through final engineering handoff
• Partner closely with product managers, engineers, content strategists, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Work effectively within an established design system to deliver cohesive, scalable, and production-ready designs
• Create designs and prototypes in Figma to validate interaction flows, usability, and visual direction
• Build or collaborate on lightweight interactive prototypes, including coded prototypes when needed
• Apply a sharp eye for detail to ensure pixel-perfect execution and visual quality
• Collaborate with motion designers to integrate animation and micro-interactions
• Present work in design reviews and articulate the rationale behind visual decisions

Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional experience designing digital products
• Proficiency in Figma, component systems, interaction flows, and prototyping
• Strong portfolio showcasing polished visual design work for consumer-facing products
• Strong background in layout, typography, color, iconography, and interaction design
• Experience working within complex design systems
• Ability to independently deliver design work from concept through production handoff
• At least 1 year of experience with lightweight coded prototyping or front-end technologies
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, visual communication, fine arts, or related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing AI-powered, personalized, or content-consumption experiences
• Experience designing for high-traffic consumer products at large scale
• Experience using generative AI tools such as Figma Make, MidJourney, DALL·E, or Runway
• Motion design experience using tools such as After Effects, Principle, or Lottie
• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, or JavaScript
