Responsibilities
- Lead the product design process from problem identification and user research to concept generation, interaction design, visual polish, and final production-ready deliverables for the mobile application.
- Develop and maintain a cohesive design system, ensuring consistency, scalability, and a premium aesthetic across all product touchpoints.
- Conduct user research, gather feedback, and leverage data insights to inform design decisions, validate assumptions, and iterate on solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering, product management, and founders to define product strategy, prioritize features, and ensure seamless implementation of designs.
- Articulate design rationale, present trade-offs, and advocate for user-centered solutions to stakeholders, including investors and executive leadership.
- Contribute to the overall product vision and brand identity, ensuring the design reflects the company's principles of high leverage, courage, and ownership.
- Craft elegant solutions for complex lifestyle management domains including travel, dining, experiences, luxury goods, and longevity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of proven experience designing digital products, with a strong portfolio showcasing ownership of shipped consumer experiences.
- Demonstrated experience in fast-paced startup environments or zero-to-one product development.
- End-to-End Product Design: Proficient in UX, UI, interaction design, and visual design, with a keen eye for detail and premium polish.
- User-Centered Design: Ability to deeply understand user needs, incorporate feedback and research insights, and translate them into intuitive and elegant user experiences.
- Systems Thinking: Experience creating and maintaining design systems, components, and interaction patterns for consistency and scalability.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent ability to work cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders, clearly articulating design rationale and tradeoffs.
- Problem Solving: Aptitude for identifying complex problems and designing innovative, effective solutions.
- Mobile Design Expertise: Specific experience designing for iOS and/or Android platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI-driven products or platforms.
- Familiarity with the luxury, concierge, or high-performance lifestyle sectors.
- Experience in defining new product categories or market segments.
- Visual design skills that align with premium brand aesthetics.
