Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Marketing, Engineering, Analytics, and Finance teams to conceptualize, design, and launch new monetization features and enhancements for the Superhuman Suite.
  • Define and shape comprehensive, end-to-end monetization workflows, encompassing user journeys related to pricing, plans, billing, payments, upgrades, downgrades, and subscription management.
  • Conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative user research, including competitor analysis, to gain deep insights into customer needs, preferences, and pain points concerning pricing, billing, and payment experiences.
  • Translate customer insights and business requirements into intuitive, delightful, and effective product designs that drive key revenue metrics such as conversion rates, average revenue per user (ARPU), customer lifetime value (CLTV), and retention.
  • Develop and iterate on interactive prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and detailed design specifications to guide engineering implementation, ensuring pixel-perfect execution and a premium user experience.
  • Champion and elevate the design culture at Superhuman through exceptional craft, consistent quality, and a proactive approach to identifying and solving design challenges that support revenue growth.
  • Advise cross-functional teams on monetization patterns, best practices, and emerging trends, contributing to the strategic vision and roadmap for revenue initiatives.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends in AI, productivity tools, and SaaS monetization models, identifying opportunities to integrate AI into monetization experiences for enhanced user value and business impact.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in product design roles.
  • At least 3 years of dedicated experience designing growth or monetization-related product experiences.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the full product design lifecycle, including user research, ideation, wireframing, prototyping, visual design, interaction design, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  • Proven ability to design effective and user-friendly experiences for pricing, plans, billing, payments, upgrades, downgrades, and subscription management.
  • Proficiency in conducting and leveraging qualitative and quantitative user research, A/B testing, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions.
  • Strong ability to partner effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, Marketing, Finance, and Analytics teams to drive product strategy and execution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to articulate design rationale, present work to leadership, and engage constructively in debates and discussions.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the creation of premium, polished user experiences that align with Superhuman's brand standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to move quickly, take decisive steps, manage multiple projects independently, and deliver high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong belief in and curiosity about the role of AI in revolutionizing work and user experiences; experience or interest in applying AI to product design challenges.
  • Understanding of growth loops, user acquisition, activation, retention, and referral strategies, and how design can influence these.
  • Deep understanding of common SaaS business models, pricing strategies, and subscription management platforms.
  • Experience or interest in designing for AI-powered applications and workflows.
