Responsibilities

  • Lead the full rollout and continuous evolution of the Mission OS Platform as the senior product owner
  • Lead and manage the Mission OS Core team, owning culture and performance
  • Own and evolve Rise8's InnerSource model and governance framework
  • Drive an opinionated platform strategy and make architectural decisions
  • Define and drive the platform services roadmap and integration patterns
  • Serve as the connective tissue between technical execution and mission impact
  • Partner with open source software (OSS) communities to shape tooling and integrations
  • Own platform architecture and product vision in collaboration with leadership and stakeholders
  • Drive continuous delivery of Mission OS platform products using lean methodologies

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in product management, platform engineering, or as a technical founder
  • Deep technical fluency in architecture, CI/CD, and DevSecOps
  • Hands-on experience with open source software (OSS)
  • Experience designing and scaling platform services and tenant onboarding
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams across product, design, and engineering
  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance for US Government work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Department of Defense or federal agencies
  • Experience building opinionated developer platforms like Cloud Foundry or Heroku
  • Proficiency in lean product methodologies and DORA metrics
  • Familiarity with PaaS and Continuous Authority to Operate (cATO) frameworks
  • Experience managing InnerSource or OSS contribution governance
  • Active Security Clearance
