Job description

Responsibilities

  • Own the supply side of Protege's data platform, managing the pipeline that transforms raw partner data into trustworthy, catalog-ready assets for AI training
  • Define ingestion pipeline stages, validation gates, and quality checks to ensure repeatable processes across different modalities and verticals
  • Drive product decisions regarding metadata generation, including transcripts, tags, confidence scores, and schema inference
  • Establish QA standards and build the tooling required to enforce "catalog-ready" criteria
  • Translate complex requirements from vertical stakeholders into consistent, platform-level standards for engineering teams
  • Perform hands-on data validation by writing SQL and reviewing pipeline outputs to ensure quality standards are met

Requirements

  • 4–7 years of Product Management experience specifically focused on data pipelines, data quality systems, or ingestion platforms
  • High technical depth with the ability to write SQL, read pipeline logs, and understand data validation architecture
  • Proven experience managing messy, inconsistently formatted third-party data and transforming it into reliable assets
  • Strong judgment regarding build-versus-partner decisions and experience with vendor evaluation in technical domains
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, GTM, and vertical product teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with data quality frameworks or catalog tooling such as dbt, Great Expectations, or data contracts
  • Familiarity with de-identification approaches for sensitive data (PHI, PII, or confidential enterprise data)
  • Background in healthcare data operations, financial infrastructure, or domains with high-stakes data quality requirements
  • Exposure to ML training pipelines or AI data workflows
