Job description

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Postgres surface at Supabase, owning critical infrastructure including Multigres, OrioleDB, the connection pooler, and the Data API.
  • Drive the production adoption of Multigres, defining success metrics, migration paths, and rollout strategies.
  • Define problem statements, requirements, and success metrics for all new capabilities, ensuring feasibility and assessing rollout risks.
  • Prioritize competing needs across platform reliability, developer experience, and enterprise requirements across multiple engineering teams.
  • Maintain alignment between engineering, design, and leadership regarding the Postgres roadmap and its impact on other Supabase products.
  • Engage directly with developers—from startups to enterprises—to identify real blockers and integrate them into prioritization.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of product management experience, specifically working on developer tools or as a technical founder.
  • Technical proficiency with the ability to read architecture documents and participate in deep design discussions.
  • Experience shipping products where database behavior (connection limits, query planning, etc.) is a core part of the user experience.
  • Familiarity with the Postgres ecosystem, including extensions, tooling, and the broader community.
  • Ability to work asynchronously in a fully remote environment, making decisions in writing.
  • A bias toward speed and a hands-on approach to using the products you manage.

Benefits

  • Fully remote work environment with a WeWork or co-working allowance.
  • Equity ownership (ESOP) for every team member.
  • Tech allowance to set up your ideal workspace.
  • Comprehensive health insurance (100% covered for employees).
  • Annual company-wide off-sites for connection and collaboration.
  • Annual professional development and education allowance.
