Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for Product API, the product configuration data model, and expansion tooling
• Define how internal teams like Underwriting and Compliance consume and depend on product data
• Drive Product API strategy and versioning standards for reliable, well-documented interfaces
• Lead discovery on platform extension as Kin's offerings grow beyond insurance
• Build and scale the AI-enablement layer on the Product API to enable self-service prototyping
• Partner with engineering and design to move platform capabilities from prototype to production
• Write precise technical specifications for engineering teams
• Define and own metrics measuring consumer independence and platform success

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product management with direct ownership of a platform, API, or internal tooling
• Experience treating internal teams as customers and translating workflows into requirements
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments
• Technical fluency in API design, versioning, and data model decisions
• Experience or strong interest in applying AI tools to internal workflows
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and cross-functional stakeholders
• A bias toward shipping and delivering reliable platform capabilities
