Product SME - Commercial Property

Responsibilities

• Act as the bridge between commercial property claims expertise and product development teams
• Translate real-world claims knowledge into product requirements, workflows, and decision frameworks
• Map the claim lifecycle from FNOL through settlement to identify friction points and automation opportunities
• Define practical standards for investigation, coverage analysis, damage assessment, and documentation
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Analytics teams to improve how loss, inspection, and financial data is captured
• Serve as an internal authority on complex coverage, business interruption, and reserving processes
• Identify opportunities where AI and automation can improve consistency without sacrificing human judgment

Requirements

• Deep, hands-on Commercial Property claims experience (field or desk adjuster, examiner, or claims leader)
• Strong knowledge of the full Commercial Property claim lifecycle, including scoping, estimating, and restoration
• Proven ability to evaluate complex workflows and identify root causes of operational inefficiency
• Sound judgment in navigating high-severity or large-loss claims involving complex coverage and financial considerations
• Interest in and curiosity about how automation and AI can modernize insurance workflows
