Production Designer, Retail & Packaging

Responsibilities

• Own technical production for retail and packaging including dielines, print-ready files, and vendor specs
• Adapt approved retail concepts across formats, retailers, and sizes
• Build and maintain a production system for templates, specs, and file organization
• Act as the primary contact for print vendors regarding materials, tolerances, and print methods
• Resolve technical questions for cross-functional partners
• Provide backup production support for retail and DTC packaging
• Implement quality checks to ensure production accuracy

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a production artist in packaging, print, retail, or visual merchandising
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
• Experience managing high-volume production across multiple SKUs and formats
• Strong understanding of color management techniques
• Exceptional proofreading and attention to detail regarding alignment and typography
• Ability to communicate effectively with designers, vendors, and internal teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Figma
• Experience with 3D rendering tools like SketchUp
• Knowledge of flexo, digital, offset, or litho printing methods
