Project Finance - Associate Director

Responsibilities

Operations:

• Lead multiple teams across a portfolio of active assignments.
• Lead in the creation and optimization of comprehensive financial models to support strategic decision-making.
• Provide strategic guidance and insight into the structuring of transactions.
• Review and interpret commercial documentation and ensure it is reflected accurately in the financial model.
• Lead in the development and enhancement of financial modeling methodologies and tools, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
• Lead in developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
• Support clients in the preparation of bid documentation and financial submissions for tender processes.
• Assist in analysing bid structures and providing input into value-for-money assessments and risk allocation.

People:

• Lead a team of modelling professionals.
• Train, motivate, and lead junior team members on assignments.
• Collaborate closely with team members, learning and contributing to assignments.
• Communicate model findings and insights effectively to clients and internal teams.
• Simplify complex financial model issues for non-technical stakeholders.

Growth:

• Lead business development and growth ambitions within a key sector.
• Lead development of client pitches.
• Lead client calls and build client relationships.

Requirements

• 6-10 years relevant financial experience in advisory or large corporate
• In-depth understanding of accounting concepts (accounting qualification beneficial)
• Sector-leading expertise in Project Finance
• Strong analytical skills; proven experience building and operating financial models with Excel
• Degree in a numerate discipline

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in accounting or finance
• Experience with the FAST financial modeling standard
