Project Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Analyze financial performance across Professional Services engagements, customers, and delivery teams
• Monitor project gross margin, labor costs, and overall profitability
• Develop executive dashboards and financial reports for portfolio visibility
• Partner with Project Managers to improve budgeting, forecasting, and margin management
• Ensure project costs are accurately assigned and allocated across work orders
• Forecast portfolio financial performance and identify emerging risks
• Develop pricing recommendations based on historical delivery costs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in project finance, project accounting, or FP&A
• Experience supporting project-based organizations (Professional Services, consulting, etc.)
• Strong understanding of project profitability, forecasting, and financial modeling
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to influence operational teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cost-based project accounting methodologies
• Experience with project-based ERP and PSA systems
• Proficiency with NetSuite, Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, or Smartsheet
• Knowledge of revenue recognition principles
