Job description

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects through their complete life cycle to ensure goals for Canonical and the client are met
  • Deliver engineering professional services and work with engineering teams on custom board enablement
  • Develop project statements of work and maintain project-specific schedules and plans
  • Manage project risk mitigation, plans, and drive technical issues to resolution
  • Maintain daily and weekly communication with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Manage delivery schedules for critical third-party deliverables
  • Identify custom engineering requests outside of existing business contracts
  • Advocate for appropriate technologies from Canonical's product portfolio to customers

Requirements

  • Solid project management experience delivering engineering services to customers
  • Experience managing software development teams and field engineers
  • Experience managing projects with cross-cultural and multi-continent resources
  • Educational degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math
  • Good knowledge of Linux, Open Source Software, and computer architecture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work non-standard hours to support a worldwide team
  • Willingness to travel up to 4 times a year for internal events

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP/PMI or PRINCE2 Practitioner Certification
