Protocol/Technical Lead

Responsibilities

• Maintain the Autheo protocol standards roadmap, including consensus upgrades, EVM compatibility, and post-quantum cryptography adoption
• Lead technical reviews of grant applications and provide findings to the Grants Committee
• Coordinate network upgrade proposals with the engineering team for testnet deployment and mainnet activation
• Serve as the primary technical liaison for community coordination and infrastructure feedback
• Oversee the security posture by coordinating third-party audits, reviewing reports, and managing vulnerability disclosures
• Set technical standards for open-source repositories, including code review and documentation requirements
• Represent the technical perspective at conferences, research publications, and cross-chain working groups

Requirements

• Experience with blockchain protocol engineering and familiarity with at least one major L1 or L2 stack
• Deep knowledge of node implementations
• Strong expertise in EVM equivalence and compatibility tradeoffs
• Familiarity with cryptographic primitives such as hash functions, zk-proofs, and signature schemes
• Prior experience reviewing smart contract audits, threat models, or security research
• Ability to communicate highly technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Published research or significant contributions to open-source blockchain projects
• Experience with decentralized identity standards (W3C DID, Verifiable Credentials, ERC-725/735)
• Background in AI/ML systems at the infrastructure level, specifically agent orchestration or on-chain AI verification
• Previous experience in a leadership role at an established blockchain foundation or core development team
