Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and formulate evidence-based diagnoses for children, teens, and young adults via telehealth
• Develop individualized treatment plans and prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Provide brief supportive interventions and psychoeducation to patients and families
• Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and care coordinators in regular case reviews
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EHR

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted Virginia PMHNP license with autonomous practice authority
• PMHNP-BC board certification and active DEA license
• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited PMHNP program
• Experience with or strong interest in working with youth and families
• Comfort working independently in a telehealth environment
