Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive telehealth psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
• Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications and monitor for efficacy and side effects
• Collaborate with neurologists, nurse practitioners, and care coaches for integrated care
• Document clinical encounters accurately in the EMR
• Participate in care team case reviews and quality improvement initiatives
• Help shape behavioral health clinical protocols and workflows

Requirements

• Current, unrestricted PMHNP licensure in at least New York state
• Board certification as a PMHNP-BC or ARNP with psychiatric specialty
• Active DEA registration and prescriptive authority
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a PMHNP
• Proficiency with EHR/EMR and telehealth platforms
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 8 patient care hours per week
• Reliable high-speed internet and HIPAA-compliant workspace

Preferred Qualifications

• Multi-state licensure
• Prior telehealth experience
• Experience treating patients with epilepsy, TBI, MS, or dementia
• Experience in digital health or virtual-first practices
• Spanish language proficiency
