Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Test software products for overall stability, reliability, and security within payment flows.
  • Create and manage test cases for regression, and design, develop and execute automated and performance tests.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, set up test environments, and run testing activities.
  • Identify, record, and track bugs thoroughly using JIRA; perform thorough regression testing.
  • Analyze test results and prepare clear test summary reports and quality metrics.
  • Provide usability feedback on UX/UI related to payment experiences.
  • Create and maintain automated test suites covering payment gateways, transaction flows, and payment security.
  • Identify automation scenarios across various payment methods and edge cases.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 3+ years experience as a QA Automation Engineer, preferably in payments
  • Strong Python automation skills (backend automation)
  • Experience with Cucumber/Behave
  • Experience with web/mobile automation: TypeScript, Webdriver.io, Appium
  • Familiarity with Page Object Model and automated test design
  • Experience with performance testing tools (k6/JMeter) or willingness to adopt them
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Docker
  • Basic knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., DataDog) and observability concepts
  • AI awareness and ability to apply automation/AI tooling in QA
  • Fluent English (verbal and written)
  • Must be located in the UAE or legally eligible to work in the UAE

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid OOP knowledge and common design patterns
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD integrations for test automation
  • Experience with load/performance testing (k6, JMeter) and test reliability tuning
  • Familiarity with payment processing, gateways, and security considerations
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to technical and business audiences
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and frameworks quickly
