RCM Collections Lead Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Collections Specialists, setting daily priorities and accountability standards
• Manage a portion of the Tier 3 AR portfolio directly, including payer follow-up and denial resolution
• Serve as the primary escalation point for complex denials and payer disputes
• Track team-level AR aging and denial trends against KPIs
• Ensure operational consistency through productivity scorecards and standardized documentation

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in healthcare Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) with a focus on collections/AR
• Previous experience leading, mentoring, or training billing specialists or contractors
• Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
• Expert understanding of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 coding, and claim adjudication
• Proficiency with EHRs (Athena or Candid Health preferred), clearinghouses, and Salesforce
