Recovery Coach

Responsibilities

• Serve as a contact point between established clients and the Bicycle Health program
• Offer peer-based support through one-on-one coaching and facilitation of peer support groups
• Document within the electronic health record in real-time with medical provider quality
• Utilize patient management tools to track client progress and maintain engagement
• Engage clients in conversation and education about substance use, treatment, and recovery
• Identify barriers to program participation and communicate them to clinical team members
• Apply the Motivational Interviewing framework consistently in all client interactions
• Maintain close communication with medical providers and support staff

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience as a peer recovery coach, peer support worker, or addiction counselor
• Minimum two years of experience in a medical practice or behavioral health field
• Experience with electronic health record documentation
• Personal experience with substance use disorder (SUD) treatment and recovery or close personal/professional relationships with individuals in SUD care
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of confidentiality requirements for client information
• Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
