Registered Nurse - GI

Responsibilities

• Execute asynchronous and synchronous clinical triage for patient symptoms via secure chat, phone, and EHR tasks
• Act as primary incident lead for urgent symptom escalations and 911 critical incident workflows
• Perform clinical risk assessments and apply C-SSRS screening protocols for patients in crisis
• Evaluate acute GI complaints to determine appropriate levels of care or emergency referrals
• Manage, review, and clear high-volume lab and imaging results in AthenaOne
• Process medication refill requests and manage pharmacy interactions according to established protocols
• Provide inbox support for Advanced Practice Providers during out-of-office periods
• Collaborate with Registered Dietitians and Behavioral Health providers on multidisciplinary care plans
• Monitor daily inbox metrics to identify operational inefficiencies and contribute to process improvements

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered RN license with ability to hold multi-state licensure
• Demonstrated experience in clinical triage or high-volume patient inbox management
• Clinical expertise in specialized GI pathways (IBD, IBS, H. pylori, SIBO)
• Proven ability to lead urgent symptom escalations and crisis stabilization
• Mastery of EHR and communication tools including AthenaOne, Salesforce, Slack, PagerDuty, and TalkDesk

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in telehealth operations and asynchronous patient messaging
• Experience with multi-channel call management platforms and new software integrations
