Responsibilities

• Co-authoring a daily Axios newsletter full of insights and scoops for SF residents
• Covering various aspects of life in San Francisco
• Experimenting with and leveraging AI for reporting and newsletter production
• Writing in Axios' Smart Brevity style
• Helping to build and shape the Axios Local product

Requirements

• Experience covering San Francisco
• Excellent source network and ability to create new ones
• Ability to break news and create conceptual scoops
• Proven experience in a fast-paced news environment on deadline
• Comfort using voice and personality in writing
