Responsibilities

• Co-author a daily Axios newsletter featuring insights and scoops relevant to Colorado Springs
• Cover various aspects of life in the city to keep residents informed
• Experiment with and leverage AI for reporting and newsletter production
• Write in Axios' Smart Brevity style
• Help build Axios Local and shape product evolution

Requirements

• Experience covering Colorado Springs
• Proven experience working in a fast-paced news environment on deadline
• Ability to break news and create conceptual scoops
• Excellent source network and ability to develop new ones
• Comfort using personality and voice in writing
• Entrepreneurial spirit and startup mentality
