Responsibilities

• Co-authoring a daily Axios newsletter full of insights and scoops that matter most to Dallas residents
• Experimenting with and leveraging AI for reporting and newsletter production
• Writing conversationally in Axios' Smart Brevity style
• Helping to build Axios Local and shaping how the product evolves

Requirements

• Experience covering Dallas
• Excellent sources and the ability to create new ones
• Ability to break news and create conceptual scoops
• Proven experience working in a fast-paced news environment on deadline
• Comfort flexing voice and personality in writing
