About the Company

Prevail is a new foundation dedicated to catalyzing large-scale social change by supporting private philanthropists and field implementers to pursue more ambitious and impactful goals. We work with private philanthropists to fund specific initiatives for 10-12 years, prioritizing goal-driven investments in proven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision and strategy for Prevail's Research function, defining priorities and assessment frameworks
• Lead and develop the Research team, including direct management and scaling the function
• Drive the strategy for assessing new philanthropic opportunities and deploying capital
• Build and own complex quantitative and qualitative models, including cost-effectiveness and reach estimates
• Identify and evaluate high-impact interventions through desk reviews, expert interviews, and modeling
• Synthesize evidence into clear outputs such as investment memos, slide decks, and visualizations
• Answer operational and programmatic questions to move from ideas to large-scale action

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in conducting research to drive decision-making
• 4+ years of experience leading, mentoring, and managing researchers
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-workstream research agendas
• Strong skills in integrating quantitative and qualitative data
• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences
• Experience with implementing organizations in global development is a strong asset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with econometrics and political science synthesis
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment
