Research Engineer/Research Scientist Coach

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 coaching to members through virtual sessions using the Mento platform
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to improve coaching abilities and skills
• Communicate with members via email or chat between sessions
• Share coaching tools and insights within the Mento coaching community
• Act as an ambassador for the Mento community with kindness, respect, and empathy

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience leading technical research teams in or adjacent to the technology industry
• Senior leadership experience (Director, VP, or equivalent)
• Expertise in theoretical and applied AI/ML, large-scale modeling, computer science, or mathematical sciences
• Ability to dedicate a minimum of 12+ hours per month for at least 24 months
• Capacity to commit 3-5 hours per week
• Based in North America or Europe

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant field
• Research publications or patents
• Leadership experience in top research organizations
• Prior experience coaching individuals or coaching certification
