Rheumatology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide virtual rheumatology consultations, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans via telehealth
• Manage chronic autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, including medication management and treatment monitoring
• Conduct follow-up visits and longitudinal care for established patients
• Collaborate closely with collaborating rheumatologists and other members of the care team
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies as clinically appropriate
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Provide patient education and counseling on diagnoses, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain compliance with all telehealth regulations, licensure requirements, and practice standards

Requirements

• CA Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of Rheumatology experience in outpatient or telehealth settings
• Strong communication and clinical documentation skills
• Comfortable practicing autonomously in a remote care environment
• Reliable internet connection and familiarity with telemedicine technology
