Rohingya Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate Rohingya-English interpretation via phone (OPI) and video (VRI) for healthcare and medical clients
• Render all messages completely and accurately without adding, omitting, or substituting content
• Maintain professional conduct and adhere to interpreter code of ethics during all calls
• Take detailed notes during calls to ensure precise communication
• Apply industry-specific medical vocabulary and standards of practice
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue additional certifications
• Report to team leaders and comply with dress code requirements for video sessions

Requirements

• Native or near-native fluency in Rohingya and English
• Proven experience in OPI/VRI interpretation, preferably in healthcare settings
• Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare industry vocabulary
• Dedicated wired internet connection with minimum 20 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds
• Windows 10+ computer with Intel Core i5+ processor or equivalent, 8GB+ RAM
• Noise-cancelling wired headset with built-in microphone (no wireless/Bluetooth)
• Professional interpretation certification preferred
