Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other engineers to design, implement, and maintain web services handling API requests at scale, focusing on reliability, performance, and metrics/observability.
  • Write high-quality web services and components in Rust with an emphasis on performance, reliability, maintainability, and readability.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of core web services and components, iterating towards optimal solutions.
  • Use past experience, research, and teamwork to avoid pitfalls and balance tradeoffs between solutions.
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly and work effectively across a large group of engineers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years professional experience using Rust
  • Strong ability to learn and apply new tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant equivalent
  • Proven problem-solving skills and adaptability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Go programming
  • Experience with HTTP, TLS, DNS protocols, and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
  • Deep understanding of database engines (PostgreSQL, Clickhouse) and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines
