Responsibilities

• Own the technical side of the sales cycle from discovery through close, partnering with account executives
• Run live demos of Empirical models and translate scoring into actionable language for practitioners
• Design and execute proofs of value comparing Empirical against existing methods like CVSS or KEV
• Write technical responses to RFPs, security questionnaires, and architecture reviews
• Serve as a bridge between customers and data science/product teams to inform the roadmap
• Present at trade shows, customer roundtables, and analyst briefings

Requirements

• 3+ years as a sales engineer, solutions architect, or technical account manager at an enterprise security software company
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts like ROC curves, calibration, and base rates
• Hands-on experience with vulnerability management tools (Tenable, Qualys, or Rapid7)
• Proficiency with ticketing and workflow tools like ServiceNow and Jira
• Ability to write Python or SQL for data analysis and visualization
• Experience working in a startup environment or excitement for startup growth

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience constructing and running bake-offs between prioritization methods
• Familiarity with EPSS or exploit prediction research
• Experience working with regulated buyers in financial services, healthcare, or critical infrastructure
