Job description
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with key decision makers at the school district level
- Sell Newsela’s suite of products to bring engaging reading content to districts
- Manage pipeline and forecasting
- Design lead generation campaigns
- Manage the entire sales lifecycle
- Develop expertise in territory funding, state initiatives, and the K-12 education landscape
Requirements
- Background in full-cycle sales and education/edtech
- Experience in lead generation and business development
- Expertise in networking, prospecting, building pipeline, and closing
- Knowledge of MEDDPICC or other sales methodologies
- Experience forecasting SaaS business
- School segment: 1+ years experience selling SaaS or digital education to schools
- SMB segment: 2+ years experience selling SaaS or digital education to districts (1-3,000 students)
- Mid-Market segment: 3+ years experience selling SaaS or digital education to districts (3,000-20,000 students)
- Enterprise segment: 5+ years experience selling SaaS or digital education to districts (20,000+ students)
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record of hitting or exceeding sales quotas
- Drive, self-awareness, and coachability
