Scientific Support Specialist

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of SMB and mid-market accounts
• Triage, investigate, and resolve support tickets with urgency and precision
• Troubleshoot platform behavior, configuration issues, and data problems
• Draft clear, actionable escalation summaries for the engineering team
• Collaborate with Scientific Implementation teams to ensure continuity across accounts
• Surface recurring issues and systemic bugs to product and engineering teams
• Document ticket history and resolution steps meticulously

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in chemistry, materials science, biology, chemical engineering, or a related field
• Experience in a scientific or technical environment
• Comfort investigating platform behavior and data problems
• Proficiency with Excel or similar data tools
• Hands-on comfort with scientific software (ELNs, LIMS, or data analysis tools)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work standard US or EU business hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on lab experience
• Experience in customer-facing support or technical consulting
• Proficiency using Gen AI / LLM tools for productivity
• Familiarity with ticketing tools like Jira or Linear
• Python or scripting experience for data investigation
• Exposure to data management concepts like databases or structured spreadsheets
