SDK Engineer - JavaScript

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve JS/TS SDKs
• Triage inbound issues and review outside contributions in public repositories
• Maintain type experience, ensuring correct autocomplete and inference
• Support multiple runtimes including Node, Deno, Bun, browsers, and Cloudflare Workers
• Work on realtime features including WebSocket connections and subscription semantics
• Design public RFCs, migration guides, and release notes
• Ensure SDKs are legible to AI coding agents

Requirements

• Expert-level TypeScript (generics, conditional, and mapped types)
• Experience authoring or maintaining a published library with a public API
• Experience with open-source project maintenance and issue triage
• Fluency in npm packaging (dual ESM/CJS, export maps, type resolution)
• Strong testing habits (unit, type-level, and end-to-end)
• Excellent written communication for async, public-facing documentation
• Ability to work autonomously in a globally distributed, async environment
