Secondary Science Curriculum Developer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop science educational content including video scripts, assessments, and written materials for middle and high school students
• Ensure content is pedagogically sound, engaging, age-appropriate, and accessible for diverse learners
• Write clear, measurable lesson objectives and align all teaching materials to meet those objectives
• Differentiate instruction to accommodate various learning styles and needs
• Continuously evaluate and refine content based on feedback and educational outcomes
• Collaborate with subject-matter experts, production teams, and instructional coaches on special projects

Requirements

• 2+ years of full-time science teaching experience at the 9-12th grade level
• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a Science-related field or Education
• Knowledge of effective lesson structure and experience writing lesson objectives
• Ability to differentiate instruction and make learning engaging and age-appropriate
• Proficiency with Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs
• Strong written communication skills and growth mindset with receptiveness to feedback
• Self-directed with proven time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Computer with camera and reliable high-speed internet connection

Preferred Qualifications

• Active teaching certification or professional development in curriculum design and pedagogy
• Experience designing curriculum and writing scripts for asynchronous video lessons
• Experience analyzing student data to drive instructional improvements
• Familiarity with screencasting software or online instruction platforms
