Cape is America’s privacy-first mobile carrier. Founded in 2022, Cape is building a secure network from the ground up to provide consumers, businesses, and government agencies with a suite of privacy and security features that protect personal information.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage robust security controls and policies within AWS
• Perform comprehensive security assessments of cloud environments to identify vulnerabilities
• Lead the integration of security practices into the DevOps lifecycle
• Utilize and optimize AWS security tools such as GuardDuty, Inspector, IAM, KMS, WAF, and Shield
• Assist in running and addressing findings from penetration tests and security audits
• Provide expert mentorship to junior security team members and engineers
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate security requirements into engineering projects

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in information security
• At least 3 years of concentrated experience in cloud security within AWS environments
• Deep understanding of AWS architecture and security best practices
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
• Skilled in scripting languages such as Python, TypeScript, or Go
• Familiarity with containerization and microservices security
• Solid knowledge of network security, encryption, and secure coding practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
• Advanced degrees or certifications such as CISSP or AWS Certified Security Specialty
