Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly reporting and analysis on USGAAP results and related disclosures
• Prepare annual financial statements with detailed workpapers
• Assist with new accounting standards and transaction implementation
• Perform contract reviews and coordinate implementation
• Maintain accounting compliance with US GAAP and insurance industry standards
• Work with external consultants and accounting firms on financial and tax audits
• Identify operational inefficiencies and formulate recommendations
• Help manage G/L and other financial systems

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
• CPA required
• 3+ years of financial reporting, public accounting or audit experience
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
• Strong knowledge of USGAAP financial statements
• Experience preparing accounting research position papers
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

• Sigma experience
• Familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle NetSuite
